ANDRA
The National Agency for Radioactive Waste Management is responsible for the long-term management of radioactive waste produced in France. As part of this mission, Andra puts its expertise and know-how at the service of the State to: find, implement and guarantee safe management solutions for all French radioactive waste in order to protect present and future generations of the risk posed by this waste. Created in 1979, Andra became a public industrial and commercial establishment by the law of December 30, 1991 whose missions were supplemented by the law of June 28, 2006 relating to the sustainable management of radioactive materials and waste. Andra is independent of waste producers. It is placed under the supervision of the ministers in charge of energy, research and the environment respectively. |

LabEx DAMAS
The Laboratory of Excellence 'DAMAS' (Design of Alloy Metals for low-mAss Structures) is approved within the 'Investment in the future' action of the French Goverment in the 2012 Campagne. The metallurgists of two laboratories LEM3 (Laboratory of Microstructure Studies and Mechanics of Materials, Metz) and IJL (Jean Lamour Institute, Nancy) constitute the Labex DAMAS.
A financial support of 7.5 M€ is accorded for 8 years.
The head of the DAMAS is Prof. Laszlo TOTH.
Deputy director: Prof. Sabine DENIS, actual director of the department SI2M of IJL Institute.

UFR MIM
L’Unité de Formation et de Recherche Mathématiques Informatique et Mécanique (UFR MIM) a été créée en 1995. C’est une composante du collégium Sciences et Technologies de l’Université de Lorraine. Elle compte aujourd’hui plus de 1200 étudiants inscrits dans les différentes formations que propose l’UFR. Ses formations s’inscrivent dans le cadre européen de l’enseignement supérieur LMD (Licence, Master, Doctorat). L’UFR MIM propose des formations dans les domaines suivants : Mathématiques, Informatique, Sciences Pour l’Ingénieur, Matériaux, Génie Civil, Logistique, Hydraulique et Automatique. Des formations sélectives (Bac à Bac+5) sont également proposées comme les Cursus Master en Ingénierie (CMI) qui bénéficient d’un label national (Réseau FIGURE). Toutes ses formations basées sur un savoir faire et une expérience acquis depuis de longues années ont pour ambition de préparer les futurs diplômés à une bonne insertion professionnelle dans les métiers liés à ces différentes disciplines. |
